A Strange Journey

As I walk the halls of the Ancients, some 10,000 years into the future, I am accompanied by one of the perpetual prophets, one of the time travelers who met me not long ago, as if in a dream, back at home in the year 2000 AD. Why I was chosen to see this world, this time, this landmark of monuments to man's ancient past, my own time, is very much unknown to me, but I am willing to walk with Jacob, the man in white,  the time traveler from the future. The desert was easy for me to see from atop the sandy hills and I could initially, upon my first encounter to this realm, see over 15 different monuments, representing a different epoch in man's past, significant eras that represent to the time travelers themselves as major turning points in mankind's destiny.

It wasn't hard to realize that the Romans were still considered a major turning point and I was at this time, walking down the hall of a Roman Monument, an over 12,000 year old museum of Roman history, redesigned in the year 11,110 AD. In spite of all this time, The Christian Calendar was still being used. The entire vision had initially left me with a feeling of desolation with the darkness of the desert, lit by the full moon, on a July midnight.
